As a Senior DevOps Engineer on the Platform Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our DevOps pipelines and supporting cloud operations. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our critical systems, ensuring seamless delivery and operations. 

This position can be remote or in our New York City office. Ideal candidates MUST be comfortable working EST hours. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • DevOps strategy and leadership 
  • Lead the development and execution of the DevOps strategy 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in continuous integration, deployment, and delivery 
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) 
  • Design, implement, and manage IaC solutions using tools such as CDK and Terraform 
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and performance of cloud infrastructure components 
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) 
  • Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery 
  • Implement and optimize build, test, and deployment processes 
  • Monitoring and automation 
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution 
  • Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency 
  • Collaboration and communication 
  • Work closely with developers, engineers, and product owners to facilitate a collaborative DevOps culture 
  • Effectively communicate to ensure all stakeholders are informed of key updates and changes 

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field 
  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in a senior or lead role 
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer a plus 
  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing 
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python and/or Bash) and experience with configuration management tools 
  • Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps 
  • Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP 
  • In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) 
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus and/or Grafana) and logging solutions 
  • Proficiency in communicating complex technical solutions to a variety of stakeholders 
  • Experience leading technical projects and supporting Agile engineering lifecycles 
  • Meticulous, organized, proactive, and a critical thinker with a high level of attention to detail 

What We Offer:

The annual base salary for this position is $150,000 to 175,000. Base salary may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
