Your role in the team:

You will work with the Spectrum team as a test engineer to make sure the new and existing functionality works. This will be done mainly by writing Automated API tests, as well as executing regression and testing a multitude of different applications and services. You will carry out your day-to-day responsibilities with a clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and colleagues.

What you’ll do:

Work within the Spectrum team to test new functionality (by writing Automated API tests), as well as regression testing a multitude of different applications and services.

• Work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes.
• Develop new regression tests using Java with Cucumber and manual testing new functionality.
• Converse directly with the Business and Development teams to ensure suitable understanding of requirements and required test coverage.
• Involved in project discussions within the teams and supporting development team in creating solutions.
• Raise and manage any defects identified throughout the software development life cycle.

What you’ll need for this role:

Significant experience in financial services from either Trading Exchanges or Investments

• In depth understanding of the FIX standards.
• Hands on Experience with the BDD Framework (Cucumber and Java), writing automated API tests using Java.
• Energetic and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Good understanding of continuous Integration by using Bamboo.
• Java programming skills.

Working Knowledge of:

• Linux.
• Gitlab.
• Bamboo.
• Maven.
