At Organon UK we are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager in the field of neurology pharmaceutical sales.

Territory: North of England & Scotland.

The exciting field-based role is a promotional and strategic sales role responsible for differentiating a growth neurology product to drive depth of prescribing, as well as identifying where local market access requires optimising for the accelerated uptake in target clinical centres.

This is a key role to ensure we drive differentiation of our latest brand in our portfolio of medicines, with key clinicians and prescribers to further drive growth.

This person will work closely with the National Sales Manager and Marketing to align on business plans and investments in differentiation initiatives in areas of greatest need & business potential. Collaboration is key to success in this role as we all embrace the core values of Organon to contribute to the culture of this new organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Promotion: Lead Specialist neurology product promotion in your territory to secondary care healthcare professionals. Deliver professional product presentations for a prescription medicine. Providing product medical education specialist advice to health care professionals including neurologists, pharmacist’s & pain specialists within multi-disciplinary teams. Ensuring relevant decision makers are clear on the clinical benefits of your products to support formulary access and funding.
  • KOL Development: Engage and develop your regional / national opinion leaders to build clinical experience with your neurology products and support therapy area medical education and formulary access in your territory.
  • Customer Support: Proactively communicate with customers through compliant channels, including face-to-face visits, virtual meetings, phone calls, and emails. Development and implementation of creative customer engagement opportunities in coordination with the Commercial Sales Manager, Medical Scientific Liaison & Product Management.
  • Meeting Management: Plan and implement medical educational events and support conference / congress stands (regional, national) including organising advanced speaker led education events in person, remote and hybrid formats.
  • Revenue and budget management: Track revenue versus target and hold responsibility for the efficient and effective investment of the area budgets.
  • Customer and competitor analysis: Build territory account plans and key performance indicators (KPI’s). Regular market analyses to identify new customers and effective planning.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with the medical and marketing team to provide value to customers and build lasting relationships.
  • Brand Building: Develop Organon's reputation the market as a trusted scientific partner in neurology.
  • Digital Channels: Maximizing the use of the CRM tools and company platforms.

Requirements:

  • Several years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record of success in achieving sales targets.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and execute a strategic business plan based on customer and market insights.
  • Ability to assess and monitor ROI and sales results.
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to deliver targeted promotion.
  • Project Management – demonstrate skills necessary to execute on defined projects, including KPI setting and measurements.
  • Knowledge of Neurology and CNS disorders is desirable.
  • Ability to effectively navigate the customers health system environment and understand their evolving needs to align objectives to optimise product access to benefit patients.
  • Experience in organising face-to-face, remote or hybrid events.
  • Excellent Communication skills, high enthusiasm, and a strong networker.
  • High resilience and persuasiveness in direct customer contact.
  • Willingness to travel.
