Position: Employment and Labor Group Associate Attorney (Mid-Level)

Office: San Francisco, CA

Ideal Candidate

We have a need for an Employment and Labor Associate in the San Francisco, CA office. 

  • The ideal candidate will be a high performer with 3 - 4 years of experience in the following areas:
  • Employment law compliance advice and counseling
  • Litigation, specifically trade secrets and employee mobility, wrongful termination, employment discrimination and harassment, whistleblower
  • Preparation and negotiation of employment agreements, separation agreements, and other employment and personnel related contracts, policies
  • Conducting due diligence, and drafting and negotiating employment-related agreements and aspects of purchase and merger agreements in the context corporate M&A transactions
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills and strong writing skills are imperative.
  • Comfort in dealing directly with clients and the ability to effectively balance multiple projects and to be responsive to client advice and counseling requests is expected.
  • You will exercise sound legal and business knowledge in working on a broad spectrum of cases and counseling clients with respect to ongoing matters.
  • Excellent communication skills are key: ability to attentively listen, actively engage, and concisely and effectively communicate complex matters in oral and written form.
  • A strong work ethic, excellent leadership skills, and action-oriented interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility for client matters will add to your success on our team.
  • Strong academic credentials are highly valued.
  • Bar Admission in California is required for application to the position.

Where required by law, salary ranges are stated below. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, health/welfare benefits (including parental, adoption, and fertility benefits), flexible time off, and paid holidays. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience (including class year); and, certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.

San Francisco, CA annual salary range: $260,000 to $310,000
