The Senior Integrity Specialist will oversee the Mechanical Integrity inspection programs for the Epoxy North America sites (Deer Park, Lakeland, and Argo) to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable production. Scope includes owning and supervising the mechanical integrity and compliance of fixed equipment by providing direction on equipment coverage requirements, inspection frequency, data interpretation and analysis, overseeing all visual and nondestructive examination on stationary equipment in accordance with the API and ASME standards, provide technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment. Oversee the management of equipment documentation, inspection of equipment to maintain compliance, and general support of the maintenance group through technical support. Develop, approve and manage critical equipment repairs/re-rates. The Senior Integrity Specialist will administer the electronic inspection management system to ensure that the system is up-to-date and accurate. 

Additionally, this position will be tasked with overseeing the development, submission and management of the annual inspection budget for the three North American Epoxy Sites and supporting the sites during Turnarounds by managing the inspection scope during outages. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

May include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Supports the strategic direction of the integrity program. 
  • Assists in the development of a sustainable and optimized integrity program. 
  • In-depth understanding and ability to provide interpretations of industry codes and regulations to inspectors and area partners. 
  • Provides technical direction on equipment inspection coverage, inspection frequency, data interpretation and analysis. 
  • Translates technical analysis provided from inspectors to be able to develop recommendations based on the analysis. 
  • Responsible for the evaluation of equipment damage and failures to determine impacts on equipment integrity. 
  • Responsible for the evaluation of the condition monitoring data. 
  • Develops and manages execution of turnaround scope for fixed equipment and piping. 
  • Supports project Quality Assurance / Quality Control as applicable. 
  • Supports WPS/PQR reviews and approval as necessary. 
  • Develops and drives the completion of all Inspection Work Plans 
  • Review and approve Integrity related Management of Change (MOC) requests and assures closure in a thorough and timely manner. 
  • Assures quality and consistent application of integrity practices and procedures. 
  • Content owner for a subset of site integrity practices and procedures 
  • Ensure inspection records are maintained in a quality manor and ready for PSM audits 

Skills and Competencies 

  • Collaborates with other site functional groups including, operations, maintenance, and engineering 
  • Ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, equipment drawings, P&ID’s and other reference materials 
  • Effective written, verbal, and communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company 
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Windows environment with experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Mechanical Integrity Inspection Software (PCMS, RBMI, Ultra Pipe etc.) 
  • Self-initiative and high motivation and ability to work with minimum supervision 

Education and Experience 

  • Ten years in mechanical integrity related roles 
  • Associates/Technical degree preferred. Engineer degree is a plus 
  • API 510/570/653 Certifications is a plus 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
