Manager of Inventory Management & Specialty Values

The Manager of Inventory Management & Specialty Values will lead the Inventory Support, Specialty Values, and Geico Support teams. The Manager of IMSV will look for areas of opportunity throughout seller's & Copart inventories. This individual will work with the Copart Sales Team, Copart sellers, and their employees to drive the sale of aged and problematic inventory and meet the needs and expectations of our customers.

Essential Duties

  • Inventory - Driving reduction in inventory by all means necessary. Implementing new ideas for reduction, working closely with Sales, Sellers, and Copart facilities. Provide ideas on how to improve cycle-times.
  • Analyze inventory and identify areas of opportunity. Lead actions on aged or problematic inventory for all types of sellers.
  • Strategize with Sales and Sellers to provide recommendations and action plans for onsite inventory support.
  • Manage a team of approximately 60 employees.
  • Single point of contact/liaison for multiple non-insurance sellers, using multiple shared inboxes and a phone queue (Average 1,400 emails per week, 120 phone calls)
  • Providing Proquotes via email for High-end vehicles, classic cars, non-standard vehicles, and exotics (Average 1,300 email requests per week)
  • Provide escalated Call for Release assistance for Geico Insurance
  • Following up with sellers regarding, aged inventory, Seller holds, Heavy-Duty inventory with the end goal moving these "stuck" units through Copart's auction process.
  • Monitoring, reporting, and providing visibility on Special Transfer Processing units Copart owned abandonments.
  • Maintaining a live, alternate title options by state guide specific to vehicle and seller type by working with our Copart yards, CTUs and our Legal department.
  • Providing customized inventory reports to multiple sellers, Sales, and Operations.
  • NBDT customers, In-house passthrough title processing and auction scheduling.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • Five years in a managerial role leading large successful teams
  • Five years in the automotive industry
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (emphasis on Excel)
  • Ability to present ideas in a persuasive and impactful manner, able to work with the highest levels of management
  • Action oriented, seizes the opportunities to drive the business and demonstrate a can-do attitude
