This position is intended for all new hire drivers and/or entry level driver trainees. Responsible for safely transporting and delivering products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form, while abiding by all state and local traffic laws.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit in driver’s seat of truck, while driving as well as while waiting. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend over or stoop. Must be able to hook up and unhook tractor and related lines to and from trailer. The employee is required to climb and balance while getting in and out of the truck and while hooking and unhooking lines to and from the trailer. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions during all weather seasons of the year. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
