Position Description:

5+ yrs.

• 5 to 8 yrs Experience as Microsoft SQL database administration
• Sound knowledge in SQL server 2012, 2016 +
• Performance tuning and query optimization
• Knowledge in Windows and Linux servers
• Exposure in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR)
• Knowledge of replication, always-on, DB mirroring, log-shipping and partitions
• Certification in MCTS, MCITP, MVP a plus
• Configure and maintain SQL database servers and processes for more than one client / project
• Monitor system health performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability and security
• Support database maintenance tasks and implement automation
• Monitor and manage database sessions, jobs and scheduled tasks
• Track issues to closure and document changes
• Independently analyze and resolve the issues in real-time
• Assist developers for writing complex queries and help development team for schema refinement
• Plan and implement effective backup and restore strategy
• Perform scheduled maintenance and release activities
