What we're looking for...

Oatey, a global leader in manufacturing, is embarking on a transformative journey with the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA. We are seeking a visionary ERP Director to manage a best-in-class SAP solution and building/maintaining a team that supports the operations and evolution of the system in line with Oatey’s growth strategy.

The ERP Director will be responsible for overseeing the IT business analysts and supporting the SAP system across our global operations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in SAP S/4 HANA and strong leadership skills to guide a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The ERP Director will work with the other IT leaders to ensure planning, coordination, direction, and design of operation activities within the IT department, as well as providing direction and support for IT solutions that enhance business operations.

Expectations & Accountabilities...

  • Responsible for overall operation and maintenance of SAP S/4 HANA system; as well as ancillary business applications integrated to SAP.
  • Oversee all phases of future SAP projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to ensure the ERP system aligns with company-wide growth goals.
  • Develop and implement a resourcing strategy that delivers the most cost effective and appropriate mix of internal and external resources, optimizing the respective solution delivery IT team to improve service, increase delivery and reduce costs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT business analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Manage relationships with SAP and other technology vendors to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the ERP system and its integration with other business processes.

What you'll need to be successful...

  • 10+ years of experience in IT.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP systems, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate across the organization, inspire, and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of SAP functional and overall end to end processes and full SAP systems life cycle solution deployments experience.
  • Proven performance as an information technology leader in a complex, global organization, including demonstrated examples of management through influence and collaboration in complex, multi-site global environments.
  • Strong business acumen, including manufacturing industry- and domain-specific knowledge of the organization and its business units. Familiarity with industry trends and innovation.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills that deliver high quality results.
  • Project management skills to manage project plan, resources (internal and external), timeline and successful go live; with prior SAP implementation and large-scale IT projects.
  • Experience with acquisitions, ideally across Europe, Asia and/or South America and bringing the business units onto the standard global SAP solution.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree.
