About the IT Team

The Information Technology team at Bose exists to deliver valuable and reliable business and technology solutions with an innovative, engaged, and collaborative team focused on contributing to our corporate vision.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the execution of complex programs against a multi-year IT roadmap in an Agile environment.
  • Direct and manage IT PMO Bose employees, increase their skills and capabilities and build and sustain a high performing team.
  • Refine a traditional program management governance/reporting model with input from senior leaders (CIO, IT SLT, other stakeholders). 
  • Refine a regular cadence of communications with all stakeholders.
  • Leverage a framework for effective decision-making based upon conflicting needs, investment levels and risk. (This includes formalized change control and in partnership with Financial Advisor, budgetary oversight of all projects)
  • Integration of activities with various Bose portfolio and work-management frameworks.
  • Partner effectively with IT leaders and product teams to ensure appropriate prioritization of activities, effective resourcing of work, and alignment of roadmaps, escalating appropriately when roadblocks arise.
  • Partnering with relevant third-parties to ensure that they have the necessary appropriate skills and resources to successfully deliver on prioritized programs, while maintaining accountability.
  • As a working manager, they may be asked to participate as program manager for the largest and most complex program initiatives on the IT roadmap.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry work experience and/or consulting experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of project and program management experience; experience managing programs in a technical environment and industry.
  • BS/BA in a related technology or business discipline; masters degree preferred. 
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience as a people manager.
  • Scaled Agile / Scrum Master / PMP / Prosci change management certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong traditional project and program management skills and experience; strong portfolio management experience.
  • Financial planning and budget management experience and acumen.
  • Experience creating policies, procedures, standards and SOPs for a PMO.
  • Experience influencing and negotiating with senior leaders; experience achieving desired business outcomes and deliverables through strong collaboration with others.
  • Experience building and managing global teams (team building).
  • Strong ability to organize input from multiple stakeholders and execute actions to align on decisions.
  • Effective relationship management, conflict resolution and strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
