Opportunities to work with an amazing collaborative team on challenging, interesting projects don’t come along every day. This position will assist the Litigation, Arbitration and Employment Americas Practice Group’s Marketing & Business Development (M&BD) Team in helping to raise the profile of the practice and bring in new business. The M&BD assistant will have the chance to work with the team on coordinating and putting together client pitches, coordinging thought leadership publication, managing and creating team presentations, M&BD reporting and tracking, drafting and distributing communications, coordinating events and meetings, and other tasks as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Support pitch and proposal efforts with company research, formatting and proofing of marketing materials including pitches and business development presentations.
  • Assist in the production, editing and distribution of client alerts and other internal and external newsletters and communications.
  • Assist in maintaining databases of lawyer experience, PR coverage, pitches and proposals.
  • Assist with firm-sponsored seminar and hosted event logistical planning and execution.
  • Assist the M&BD managers serving the litigation practice, including pitch formatting and research support, taking meeting minutes, producing and distributing marketing materials and other support as needed.
  • Assist with the regular update of web and print marketing content, including practice area descriptions, attorney biographies, reprints and client updates.
  • Assist with competitive intelligence and client research as needed
  • Coordinate weekly LAE Americas M&BD team meeting logistics and work with extended M&BD team to prepare the weekly meeting briefing presentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • One to two years of marketing or related experience preferred.
  • BA/BS required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly
  • Collaborative with a strong can-do attitude
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must be able to multitask and handle a fast-paced and demanding professional services environment.
  • Must be able to respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Will provide service to a variety of staff and attorneys so must be people oriented with strong customer service skills.

HOURS

Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (including lunch). Must be flexible to work additional hours including some weekends as required.
