We are looking for a Mainframe IMS System Programmer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Install, update and coordinate Mainframe IMS subsystems and related ISV products.
- Perform changes within Company regulations and security standards.
- Assist with testing, implementation, and installation of new/improved systems, as well as product upgrades.
- Attend meetings and interact regularly with management, team, and clients to continuously improve services.
- Participate in On-Call rotation schedule.
- Installing/upgrading IBM IMS subsystem.
- Monitoring of IMS regions, performance tools like Mainview, Omegamon, SYSVIEW.
- Knowledge on administration tasks using various IMS DB/DC Commands.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience as a IMS System Programmer or in a similar role.
- IMS Level 3 System Program Skills
- Installation, maintenance, problem diagnosis and administration of IMS DB DC JCL, ISPF, and SMP/E proficiency
- z/OS System level Skills.
- DB2, CICS, REXX
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with database security standard processes.
- Proficient English – level B2 or above
- Excellent and effective communication skills with management
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-national and virtual environments
- Self motivated and tenacious personality
