DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a talented associate corporate counsel to support our UK physical stores and same-day online grocery business. We work in a dynamic environment where pioneering on behalf of our customers is at the heart of everything we do. Our work is intellectually challenging, exciting and fast-paced.

The successful candidate will be an innovative, hands-on and customer-obsessed professional, with a flexible, can-do attitude and an ability to work independently in a constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment. You’ll need common sense, great judgment and a sense of humour!

The role is based in London, although some travel may be required.

Key job responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, including end-to-end contract and licence administration, as well as research and projects. We are seeking an individual who will actively seek opportunities to simplify and develop scalable solutions to legal problems.

Additional responsibilities will include developing internal policies and procedures, as well as business training.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

London, GBR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional academic qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification legal experience, at a leading law firm or in-house.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A background in grocery retail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail
  • Proven organisational and matter management skills
  • Experience in collaborating and building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to be a trusted business partner
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-moving environment
  • Great business judgment
