AVP/VP, Central Operations Controllership – Corporate Account, Group Finance - (WD60958)

Business Function

Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

The Role

Provide MIS reporting and analysis with linkage to business strategies for key activities of the Corporate Account. Work on other strategic projects as prioritized. Key Corporate Account activities include duration extension initiatives and management of the structural foreign currency exposure of the Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Strengthen controls around Corporate Account initiatives
• Ensure key activities/ strategies are in line with Group SFXIR approvals
• Policy / standards review
• Collaborate with Corporate Treasury (CT) and Finance teams to plan, scope and execute key projects/initiatives
• Understand booking structure, fund flows as well as MIS drivers and impact to Group disclosures
• Work closely with other finance teams to understand implications on accounting/risk for new initiatives
• Actively look to automate processes and drive system enhancements
• Other strategic projects as prioritized

The successful candidate should be a self-starter, have intellectual curiosity and work effectively across a diverse group of stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience 

• University degree in Accounting, Business or Finance. Open to other disciplines with relevant experience in banking industry
• Banking sector experience or accounting firms with exposure to banking
• Experience in Corporate Treasury support with product control / risk experience a plus

Technical Knowledge

• Good banking and treasury product knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Celerity/ Tableau a plus

• Meticulous with a hands-on approach
• Able to summarize complex analysis and draw out meaningful insights
• Communicate ideas and recommendations clearly and concisely
• Able to work in ambiguous situations and adapt well to changes
