As the Director of Microsoft Marketing, you will lead a team of experts to design and implement innovative marketing strategies that drive growth, awareness, and demand for our broad Microsoft portfolio. You will also collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including Microsoft, to unite currently siloed efforts and create a unified SHI Microsoft brand narrative that delivers value to our customers. You will provide guidance and feedback to other marketing professionals, produce ideas for promotional events or activities, and organize them efficiently.

The Director of Microsoft Marketing will lead a small, dedicated Microsoft marketing team as part of the larger SHI marketing organization (where Creative, Operations, Digital, and other teams will support you). You will be the central liaison for the Microsoft Channel and Marketing team. You will work with various SHI stakeholders, including sales, customer success, SHI Services, and Product and Growth Marketing, to create a unified SHI Microsoft Brand narrative and develop marketing plans that create growth opportunities for SHI’s Microsoft business. Creating demand for new account acquisition is a priority.

Key success metrics will include overall Microsoft revenue and GM growth, net new customer acquisition, and expansion of Microsoft business within existing accounts.

Responsibilities

Included but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a growth marketing plan that aligns with the company's vision and goals.
  • Drive brand awareness for SHI’s Microsoft solutions and services through multiple channels and platforms.
  • Manage a team of Microsoft SMEs and content creators, providing guidance and feedback and supporting their individual growth.
  • Provide SME-level knowledge of Microsoft’s and SHI’s GTM priorities and best practices.
  • Analyze industry information and market trends to identify opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies that outline target customer segments, products, promotions, pricing, positioning, and complete launch plans.
  • Advise pre-sales and Product Specialists on new product introductions, transitions, competitive advantages, and opportunities to identify sales within their customer base.
  • Understand and communicate partner organizational structure with critical decision-makers and foster relationships with senior management.
  • Engage daily with Microsoft to maintain an open communication channel and ensure that all SHI and Microsoft Stakeholders are updated on any issues, initiatives, projects, meetings, or conferences.
  • Manage and maximize overall profitability; manage financial benefits and develop a strategy around re-investing marketing funding.
  • Represent the SHI’s Microsoft Partnership in meetings and speak to brand performance, category performance, program/promotion results, and current initiatives.
  • Provide comprehensive internal and external reporting on the SHI/Microsoft brand performance, category performance, industry trends, and market share.
  • Host Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to review SHI/Microsoft performance and discuss joint initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful growth marketing strategies for Microsoft products and services or similar technology solutions.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrable networking skills and proficiency at creating consensus and support across disparate stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including cloud, security, productivity, and collaboration tools
  • Expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, email, social media, content, and web analytics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Creative, analytical, and strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and growth

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
