Job Overview
The Associate Director for Video & Multimedia Production produces high-quality, high-impact content aimed at building and reinforcing connections with Georgetown’s alumni and donors. Under the supervision of the Senior Director for Video and Multimedia, the Associate Director produces primarily digital video (along with some additional photography, audio, multimedia event design content) for distribution on Georgetown’s digital platforms and live events, with a particular focus on alumni relations, awards programs, campaigns, fundraising, and special events. The Associate Director is an innovative and experienced video production team member with strong technical experience and a passion for storytelling. The Associate Director generates ideas, proposes projects, and executes video production through the post production process.
With little oversight, they collaborate content partners across the Advancement team and broader university, and also to execute tasks independently.
Work Interactions
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Multimedia, the Associate Director for Video & Multimedia Production works closely with the OA Comms Strategy & Operations team and the Director of University Photography; and partners with the broader Advancement Communications team, which includes writers, editors, designers, web designers, content delivery experts, and strategic planning partners.
As well, they provide an inclusive lens and approach to interviewing alumni, faculty, staff, students, and donors of all backgrounds and life experiences, while incorporating such perspectives into content
