Summary of the position

The HR Generalist will support payroll, recruitment, onboarding, policy and procedures, disciplinary actions, resignations, employee retention, events.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates
  2. Facilitates the pre-hiring, hiring, orientation, and onboarding processes for legal compliance
  3. Ensures compliance with I-9 Verification
  4. Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs (ex: birthday, anniversary, etc.)
  5. Monitors, tracks, and reports on attendance including records related to tardiness, absences, PTO, LOA, FMLA to ensure proper documentation is maintained per internal and external
  6. Acts as an employee relations specialist and escalates matters as necessary
  7. Ensure proper maintenance of electronic and paper employee personnel records and files
  8. Tracks all disciplinary actions and may coach managers on necessary actions if needed
  9. Effectively handles Unemployment Notices and attends hearings when necessary
  10. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment
  11. Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
  12. Conduct orientation sessions and provide necessary information about company policies, procedures, and culture
  13. Oversee payroll functions, including processing, reviewing, and verifying employee time and attendance
  14. Handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers
  15. Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolution, promoting a positive work environment
  16. Educate employees about available benefits and assist with enrollment processes
  17. Support professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities
  18. Provide insights and recommendations based on HR data
  19. Responsible for the quality of the product
  20. Responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental
  21. Other tasks assigned according to the position and company needs.

Qualifications:

  1. 3 years of experience in an industry setting in HR
  2. Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  3. Bilingual English-Spanish, English-Arabic, English-Pashto-Dari or African Language preferably
