The SAP MM/PP Functional Consultant is a member of the SAP Development CoE team and is a key enabler to deploy quality solutions on the region’s SAP platform and support the S4 HANA transformation program initiatives. The SAP MM/PP Functional Consultant leverages extensive technical and architectural knowledge to support projects and application delivery, drive technical design, development and quality standards and act as the Logistics, Supply chain and manufacturing subject matter expert for the area.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Designs solutions that must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards.
  • Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for analysing, proposing, designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting new functionality and solutions within the SAP MM, PP landscape that is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Analyses the SAP MM, PP landscape with the objective to drive simplification, automation, and standardization.
  • Explores and evaluates new innovative SAP products / solutions, participate, prepare business cases evaluation, and prepare recommendations.

Background & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience, plus 3 to 5 years of business / systems analysis experience.
  • Solid process knowledge in the distribution/supply chain field with in-depth knowledge of core supply chain processes (P2P cycle, Inventory management, MRP, PP, master data, execution) and operational management principles within the automotive (OEM, Supplier) manufacturing / distribution industries. Capable of translating business requirements into application design.
  • Understanding of relevant technologies: Solid technical knowledge (configuration, developing functional/technical specifications, data migration, testing) of SAP’s MM ,PP modules, S4 HANA exposure and PM module knowledge is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies and deployment management.
  • Experience in systems analysis, blueprinting, functional design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge in systems designs techniques (e.g. Data Flow Diagrams, Data Models, etc.).
  • Strong analysis, design and implementation experience with technologies. Ability to communicate needs and schedules to IS and clients, as well as ensure that plans are in place and standards are adhered to.
