By joining our rapidly growing Accounting Advisory Service Line (and working closely with our Private Equity Practice) you will serve as a trusted partner to our premier PE-backed clients. As a Director at CrossCountry Consulting you will be responsible for a mix of client delivery, leading teams and developing junior team members, as well as serving as a member of CrossCountry’s leadership team. What You'll Do

  • Lead engagement teams through technical accounting, financial reporting, audit readiness and corporate transactions projects within the Private Equity space, interacting directly with Portfolio Company CFOs and Controllers; Operating Partners, Portfolio Support teams, and Deal Teams at Private Equity funds; and our Private Equity practice.
  • Provide technical expertise with complex transactions, technical accounting standards and policy implementations, financial reporting, and operational accounting
  • Research and document complex accounting issues. Work with client teams to operationalize key technical accounting conclusions within the close process.
  • Conduct IPO-readiness assessments and assist clients in preparation for going public (S-1)
  • Advise on complex accounting policy in all areas of US GAAP and/or IFRS, including business combinations (purchase accounting), consolidation (analyzing VIEs and determining Primary Beneficiaries), derivatives, revenue recognition, lease accounting, impairment, troubled debt structuring, bad debt and loan loss methodologies, foreign currency accounting, stock-based compensation and others
  • Business development through account expansion and expanding relationships with existing clients

What You'll Bring

  • 15+ years of related management consulting experience or a combination of consulting and industry experience with prior experience working with Private Equity Operating Partners and Private Equity-backed Portfolio companies
  • In depth knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP and/or IFRS) and the ability to advise/research complex technical accounting and transaction issues within the Private Equity space
  • Business acumen with a strong understanding of accounting and business processes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration and excellence
  • Consistent track record of building and developing strong client relationships
  • Ability to work with client management and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Mentorship and people development capabilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%

Certifications Desired

  • CPA, CIA, CFA, CA

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Business, Finance, or other technical discipline
