The Hill is seeking an Events Manager responsible for project management and logistics for its growing events portfolio.

This position will report to the Director of Events and work within a dynamic, dedicated team of events and marketing professionals to execute a variety of in-person and virtual event types including large audience live programs, interactive forums and one-on-one interviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary project manager for live and virtual events.
  • Develop and manage a project management documentation system that ensures all benchmarks and deliverables are being met.
  • Work with Director of Events and content producers to communicate with sponsors on event logistics including preparation timelines, deliverables and audience development.
  • Arrange event logistics including identifying potential venues, arranging appropriate food & beverage, procuring event décor.
  • Coordinate communication between various departments of The Hill to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Mange event budget and negotiate and route vendor contracts
  • Prepare on–site event materials and supplies.
  • Manage on-site registration and other duties as assigned on event days.
  • Assist with building and managing the registration pages.
  • Assist with audience development and outreach where appropriate.
  • Assist with drafting promotional materials including creating compelling audience communications.
  • Other duties as assigned and developed.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Keynote/PowerPoint, Excel, G-Suite
  • Familiarity with Zoom, Webex or similar web conferencing platforms
  • Strong understanding of Washington, DC, political/advocacy landscape and relationship management

Ideal candidates should have 2-4 years’ experience with event management, public relations, advocacy, communications and/or marketing.
