Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Transport Planner to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare transportation master plans and traffic impact studies for small and large developments including data collection and analysis, and develop and analyze mitigation measures.
• Carry out urban \metropolitan transportation planning and traffic engineering tasks including corridor studies and regional network studies. 
• Perform operational analysis using standard packages including SYNCHRO, SIDRA, HCS, and VISSIM.
• Familiarity with travel demand models
• Collaborate with road design and urban planning teams

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 12 years hands-on experience in transportation planning including conduct of transportation impacts studies and transportation master plans
• Experienced in the use of operational and/or travel demand modeling analysis tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Master Degree in related field
• Experience in public transportation and non-motorized transportation planning
