POSITION TITLE: SENIOR PARALEGAL - DISCLOSURE/COMPLIANCE
DEPARTMENT: LEGAL SERVICES
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience or equivalent experience in a deadline-driven, detail-oriented complex legal or business environment.
- Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication, time management and organization skills
- Advanced decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills, with particular attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to main quality of work while meeting established deadlines.
- Registered fund or mutual fund experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of securities and registered fund products and operations is a plus.
MAJOR DUTIES:
The purpose of this position is to provide Senior Paralegal registered fund regulatory services to Federated Hermes legal staff and business units, outside counsel and clients to meet the requirements of the SEC, FINRA, and other registered fund regulators.
- Working with internal and external counsel, Federated business units, Legal Services and Legal Department management, prepare and review regulatory documents required for the creation and maintenance of registered funds, ensuring they are in proper form for filing with regulators and meet all regulatory deadlines.
- Resolve issues with regulators as appropriate.
- Research, analyze, interpret and address legal, regulatory and procedural issues and questions, as appropriate. Present results in professional writing or at client or department meetings or training sessions.
- Advocate and resolve issues with regulators and clients, as appropriate.
- Assist co-workers, internal and external counsel, Legal Services management and Legal Department management, as directed or required.
- Perform research and special projects, as directed or required.
HOURS/LOCATION:
- 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (overtime as required)
- Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Warrendale, PA
