The Accounting & Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring financial results are prepared and reported in compliance with company policies, local GAAP and US GAAP. This role will thoroughly monitor and review day-to-day accounting transactions and ensure accuracy and on-time month-end closing process in place and in conjunction with accurate data submission. This role will also prepare key financial reports to meet the requirements of both internal and external stakeholders such as Statuary Report, Tax Audit and Corporate Reports as required. Moreover, this role will manage, prepare and provide analysis for transfer price to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal & external parties.

Core Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

  • Financial statement – ensure that financial statements are prepared and reported in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate policies as well as Thai GAAP and statutory requirements.
  • Financial report – prepare key financial reports to meet the requirements (internal and external) such as Statuary Report, Tax Audit and Corporate Report as required.
  • Month-end closing – lead the closing process to ensure that financial data is prepared timely and accurately and is submitted to Corporate for consolidation within due dates. 
  • Daily transactions – monitor and review day-to-day accounting transactions and ensure accuracy and on-time month-end closing process in place and in conjunction with data submission.
  • Account Reconciliations – lead monthly account reconciliations to ensure that any misstatements in the financial statements are identified and remediated, and reconciling items are identified and followed up in a timely manner.
  • Support FP&A Team on Budgeting and FCST process.

Tax Compliance

  • Tax filing – lead annual tax return filings process to ensure tax filing has been completed accurately and timely in accordance with Thai tax laws.
  • Tax submission – review direct and indirect tax submission on monthly basis. Coaching all plants team to have good knowledge.
  • Tax authority – address potential inquiries, challenges, and scrutiny from Thai tax authorities and response the authority in a professional and timely manners. Build strong relationship with local Tax Authorities.
  • Daily transactions and month-end closing – monitor and review day-to-day accounting transactions and ensure accuracy and on-time month-end closing process in place and in conjunction with data submission.
  • Pricing – prepare and provide analysis for transfer price to ensure accuracy and compliance (internal & external).

Internal Control compliance

  • Internal control process – ensure that proper internal controls are in place and monitor that control activities are operated effectively in accordance with the company’s internal control manuals and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements.
  • Fixed asset – improve internal control and follow up action plan such as fixed assets control, inventory control, payable, receivable and financial reporting.

Local regulation compliance

  • Statutory financial report – lead on Statutory Financial Reports preparation and submission to government.
  • External Audits – coordinate external and internal audits.
  • Bank of Thailand – for quarterly reporting
  • Board of Investment

Team Management

  • Knowledge transfer – create and build strong team knowledge and share best practices to team members.
  • Build relationship – build and work collaboration with SSC team on business knowledge and develop efficient working processes. 

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting and/or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Tax, Accounting and Transfer Price at manager level
  • US GAAP, TAX knowledge as well as BOI regulations
  • Sarbanes Oxley Act knowledge
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Strong in interpersonal skills, analytical skill, time management and with an experience in SAP and Microsoft Excel program
  • Good team leader and team player
