Team and Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Project Manager to work within our Customer Delivery department in establishing and executing key projects and implementations. The Project Manager will be responsible for multiple aspects of the process including the management and sign-off of customer requirements and delivery deadlines, effective communication with key customer stakeholders and internal management, the project management of internal and external project resources, and managing the project budget. The ideal candidate will need at least 8 years of functional and Project Management experience gained in the financial technology industry working for a software vendor or system integrator, with an expertise in the support and/or implementation of regulatory solutions.

Responsibilities

  • This person will be responsible for establishing and tracking the progress of an implementation to meet deliverables and the system go-live date
  • Daily management and leadership of the project and the project team. Provide effective leadership and management controls
  • Establish appropriate delivery methodologies and manage the effective transition between project phases
  • Identify and establish appropriate project controls
  • Manage performance and report progress to backers. Influence key decision-makers
  • Work directly with customers to review business, functional, and technical requirements to ensure high-quality delivery of any configuration and/or customization.
  • Work in conjunction with the wider Customer Delivery Team to set and manage customer expectations around project timelines.
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for managing and communicating issues to the customer and internal project teams. The Project Manager will be the first level of escalation for project delivery issues and will report the progress of the implementation to project owners, sponsors, and the Project Steering Committee 

Skills And Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of experience working on mission-critical, complex projects with cross-functional and distributed teams preferably in a regulatory solutions space
  • A solid, demonstrable record of completing large and complex projects with experience in program management
  • Experience in the implementation and/or support of financial technology solutions within a Bank, Hedge fund, or Asset Manager
  • A strong demonstrable record of customer service. The Project Manager will need to understand customer needs and build effective relationships. The PM must be able to convey plans, issues, and concerns to clients and team members in a clear, logical, and concise manner. They will need to also be able to influence key decision-makers both internally and externally
  • Must be customer driven, can work within a team environment, and be focused on providing a high quality of service to the customer
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills. Candidate must be able to create and manage a complex project plan in an efficient and timely manner Strong time management skills
  • Strong and demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Project Management Certification, e.g. PMP, Agile
  • Domain expertise in Regulatory Reporting and/or Basel III/IV, Capital, Liquidity
  • Prior experience in the AxiomSL platform and solutions is preferred
