E-commerce's Governance and Experience (GNE) is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only our users, but also sellers and creators. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team and Lead Advertising & User Growth Governance for TikTok Shop. This role will be responsible for leading the governance and experience strategy of a seller's eligibility to run Ads for their TikTok Shop products as well as being eligible for subsidies offered to TikTok Shop customers in the US region. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years experience in leading Advertising on an E-commerce platform in the US with a proven track record of making decisions quickly that align to both business and governance goals.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Advertising team to maintain seller and listing policy and performance standards for Advertising eligiblity
  • Work closely with the User Growth team to maintain seller and listing policy and performance standards for all user growth related initiatives
  • Establish internal operational processes to maintain a trusted and relevant shopping experience for all scenarios where sellers and products are displayed to customers via advertising or user growth intiatives
  • Work cross functionally with other TikTok Shop departments such as education, seller & listing policies, and product to identify seller painpoints TikTok Shop advertising and user growth opportunities
  • Perform market research & maintain e-commerce governance best practices
  • Monitor feedback and user perception, continuously improving the experience of buyers and sellers as it relates to the advertising and user growth traffic channels
  • Partner with data analytics and science teams to actively monitor and determine solutions to improve both governance & business performance targets

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of product or program management experience in Advertising or Digital marketing for Ecommerce, specifically in the US region
  • Strong knowledge of advertising governance & developing strategies aligned with business objectives
  • The ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive, data-driven operational plans
  • Self-driven with a high degree of ownership and have strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and planning/project management skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a demonstrated capacity to balance speed and quality
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
