Job Description

Sr. Treasury Data Analyst Lead

The Sr. Treasury Data Analyst Lead is responsible for all information that will assist Corporate Treasury in the effective management of Comerica's various balance sheet initiatives. This includes providing advanced data analytics, visualization, and automation to various teams within Corporate Treasury to support financial modeling and reporting in response to business needs and regulatory requirements. The role will support Corporate Treasury's effort in preparing for Enhanced Prudential Standards requirements (Basel III, LCR, 2052a, NSFR, etc.)This position is responsible for promulgating advanced data management and automation, as well as evaluating current business processes for process improvements and providing recommendations to create efficiencies or accelerate adoption of advanced tools to support the various needs and regulatory requirements of the Corporate Treasury department, amongst other things.

Position Responsibilities:

Treasury Data & Analytics

The Sr. Treasury Data Analyst Lead is the technology and data analytics subject matter expert in Treasury. Responsible for developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that support effective internal reporting, such as:

  • Liquidity Risk - Data needs around liqudity stress testing, key risk indicators, and various other analysis
  • Capital Management - stress testing, capital forecasting and sensitivity analysis
  • ALM - behavioiral modeling, including deposit betas, deposit lives, balance sheet sensitivity.

Support data and automation needs of Funding, Portfolio, ALM, Liquidity and Capital teams for reporting to ALCO, EERC, Board, regulators, IR, Accounting, etc.

  • Design and build data pipelines and workflows from various sources into data warehouse.
  • Utilize technical skills to develop and execute queries to extract data from various sources that will be required for a robust and reliable data infrastructure.
  • Maintain documentation for data flows, design patterns, processes, and best practices.
  • Implement security and governance best practice for data ecosystem.

Intrabank Collaboration

  • Support large complex data and technology projects, including partnering with Technology.
  • Maintain active dialogue with various areas in the back to ensure accurate and consistent reporting.

Communication/Presentation

  • Participate and contribute to strategies for managing the data needs required to support any Corporate Treasury balance sheet initiatives.

Work Hours

8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite and remote days as determined by the manager.
