We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the TPA Financial Analyst position and join the TPA Management team. This positions primary responsibility is to assist with the administration of the loss funds provided to TPAs in order to pay claims.

TPA Funding Items & Reconciliation

  • Calculating initial imprest balances for new and existing accounts and providing recommendations to management for sign-off
  • Adjusting the imprest balances on an as needed basis, including reconciling, collecting imprest deposits and closing inactive accounts
  • Reconcile bank statements to ensure that Chubb funds provided to the TPA are properly accounted for
  • Communicating results of research and analysis to appropriate business partners and working with them to resolve the issues
  • Maintaining and updating the TPA Master Funding Spreadsheets, Master Bank Lists, Upload Templates and other department spreadsheets to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
  • Generate daily reports from Quantum, PeopleSoft and other Chubb systems

Claim Funding Research

  • Research Resident Adjuster State claims in order to identify potential duplicate claims and determine actions needed in order to ensure loss runs are properly stated.
  • Review monthly Outstanding Claim Check Reports to ensure outstanding checks issued to TPAs and Chubb entities are appropriately outstanding, and funds will not be escheated incorrectly.
  • Work with DSU to resolve issues with checks identified to be in an incorrect status
  • Document findings and necessary action steps
  • Communicate with appropriate business partners to provide necessary information on outstanding TPA checks 

Miscellaneous Items

  • Assisting with ad hoc requests and any other responsibilities or projects as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to listen effectively, confidently express opinions and voice concerns and present ideas to various audiences
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented, shows initiative and ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to adjust and adapt in an ever-changing environment
  • 5 or more years of experience with Property/Casualty insurance concepts, practices, and procedures strongly preferred
  • Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of claim handling, Claim Vision/LINES is a plus
  • Positive Mental Attitude

The pay range for the role is $71,500 to $115,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
