Role Summary/Purpose:

The Site EHS Leader/manager shall be responsible for providing technical EHS support to comply with all regulatory and industry requirements applicable to Wabtec Locomotive Pvt. Limited. He should have sound experience in in implementing all the Local Regulatory & Statutory requirements, EHS requirements related to operations, equipment installation & commissioning, Integrated Management System and Operationalize programs supporting the business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor site team to strengthen safety culture.
  • Coordinate with Contractors and Sub Contractors and develop & implement contractor safety program.
  • Implement Wabtec EHS Programs at site.
  • Drives EHS Compliances during operation and any non-routine work.
  • Review and advice local leadership on local regulatory compliance requirements and its implementation
  • Incident /accident investigation and compliance of corrective actions. Provides operational assistance in case of serious EHS incident or event.
  • Establish injury prevention initiatives focused on world -class health and safety performance
  • Lesioning with regulatory bodies for on time permit/authorization approvals.
  • Responsible for identification and timely submission of all applicable EHS compliance reports to regulators.
  • Timely compliance of corporate and regional EHS, ESG requirements.
  • Provide focused, tactical support to effectively manage and reduce EHS risks at site.

Role Summary/Purpose:

The EHS Manager would be a single point of contact for all the EHS related matters at site for safe s operations. He/she would coordinate with other functions and regulators for obtaining all the EHS regulatory approvals. EHS Leader would be closely working with WLPL EHS leader and Services Site leader.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) from an accredited college or university
  • Diploma or Degree in industrial safety from accredited college/University.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in EHS programs at manufacturing site.
