Through both digital and live experiences, the Sounders FC Marketing department curates club, fan, and cultural stories to build meaningful connections and serve as leaders invested in the progress of our Seattle community.

As Video Production Manager, you will assist in leading the production of video assets for the club. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of visual storytelling and production processes. This role will collaborate with stakeholders at a high level to understand the scope and goals of each project. This role must be able to effectively plan and communicate the requirements needed to complete each assignment. As part of the Video Team, you will be a self-starter who can prioritize multiple projects and understand the digital landscape and the type of content it requires. A successful candidate will have experience across a variety of areas including pre-production, communication, directing, shooting, editing, color and motion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, shoot, edit video content to use on all Sounders FC platforms including digital, broadcast and in-stadium
  • Assist in leading production of key club initiatives throughout season including schedule release, jersey launch, STM renewals, and playoff campaign
  • Manage execution of weekly and monthly video requirements for broadcast partner Apple TV
  • Work all home matches, while capturing the matchday experience of our players and fans at Lumen Field
  • Travel to select road matches, providing video and photo coverage of the team
  • Assist the video and digital team remotely for non-traveling away matches with editing, on the fly content ideas and video publishing
  • Collaborate with Digital, Corporate Partnerships, Social Impact, and RAVE Foundation for video content needs to service organizational objectives and initiatives
  • Maintain video production gear and advise on best practices of new equipment
  • Manage production studio space for internal interviews and content creation
  • Use motion design elements to elevate video assets
  • Coordinate with communications staff for all team and player coverage
  • Log and archive video content and broadcast footage throughout the season
  • Upload and publish videos to club’s CMS, YouTube and file sharing sites
  • Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3+ years experience in video production with a fast-paced sports or entertainment organization
  • Proven experience shooting with Sony cameras and using production equipment
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Cloud suite, specifically Premiere and After Effects
  • Ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with creating video content across Twitter, Instagram,, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Self-starter who works well in a team environment to collaborate with other departments
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new organizational processes
  • Attention to detail with a passion for flawless execution
  • Flexible and adaptable work schedule for changing business demands
  • Passionate about working in soccer and sports
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • This is a hybrid position that will work from home and Seattle Sounders FC’s offices in Renton and is expected to attend Sounders FC home matches at Lumen Field, events throughout Puget Sound region and meetings in market as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to commute between multiple locations
  • Must reside within Washington state by start date
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must be able to carry, load and unload all necessary video/camera equipment – 25 to 50 pounds

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND PERKS

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 – $89,000. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
