We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our Platform Security Architecture team in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Are you our next star player?

As a Security Engineer, you will join our Platform Security Architecture team. As part of this team, you will work with senior security architects and collaborate with solution architects to ensure our cloud infrastructure is secure by design and implemented to standard methodologies. Focusing on specific areas, you will gain in-depth knowledge and provide security expertise.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is crucial for keeping us mission-aligned.

Reporting to the Head of Platform Security Architecture, you will:

  • Work closely with our Cloud Centre of Excellence, solution architects, and engineering teams to provide authoritative security guidance and direction ensuring our players can trust us.
  • Help teams identify and effectively treat risks within our environment.
  • Work with other members of the wider Security Engineering team to ensure we have a consistent and measured approach to security.

Who we’re looking for

An experienced security engineer capable of providing guidance on all aspects of security engineering.

Your experience:

  • Extensive experience performing security analysis of on-prem and cloud architectures including threat assessments of identified weaknesses.
  • Experience in assessing SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) solutions and their integrations with enterprise environments.
  • Experience in securing deployments using a threat-based approach, implementation of defence in depth, and prioritisation of security controls.
  • Practical working experience and knowledge of workplace technology security solutions e.g., network, email, and endpoint security controls.
  • Working exposure on cloud security services and controls including identity and access management.

Your skills

  • Ability to perform security assessments using playbooks and security patterns, identifying weaknesses and appropriate treatment of risks for associated threats.
  • Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation).
  • Real world technical “hands-on” experience deploying complex solutions and designing countermeasures to identified security risks.

Requirements

  • Sound understanding of cybersecurity standards, methodologies, and frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of each security domain and how each domain relates to support a secure platform.
  • A keen interest in learning innovative technologies and a passion for information security.
  • Be able to work with multiple teams across the business with differing priorities.
  • Be able to drive initiatives & operate autonomously with support where needed, but limited supervision
