Job Description

Your Role:

Invesco is seeking an experienced and driven Event Manager to coordinate and manage breakthrough event experiences that help us drive awareness, consideration and engagement with our target clients across our sponsored and digital marketing events.

The Team:

Invesco serves a wide breadth of clients including financial advisors, professional buyers, institutional investors and consultants. Our customers have complex and unique investment needs, which we support through our investment expertise and by delivering a connected total client experience that educates, inspires and delights. This role will assist the North American Marketing team by leading in the execution of impactful digital and in-person events that integrate into broader, thoughtful customer journeys. Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Collaborate with Segment, ETF and brand marketers and sales partners to create, shape, execute and measure high impact, disruptive and memorable experiential programs that seamlessly link to broader client journeys. These include webinars, virtual events, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, bell ringings and third-party events.
  • Organize and project manage events and contribute to maintenance of the events calendar, ensuring information relating to each is accurately communicated whilst complying with corporate guidelines, relevant legislation and compliance regulations.
  • Partner with the Brand team to coordinate and produce creative assets for each event, based on direction and priorities from Segment and ETF marketers.
  • Liaise with Segment and ETF Marketing on desired outcomes, source and manage speakers, contribute to agendas and coordinate logistics including passes/ tickets, literature, promotional items, booth branding, shipping and storage. Help plan and execute pre and post event promotions.
  • Set clear KPIs for each event, measuring success against predetermined metrics. Use key insights (e.g. social listening, client feedback, competitive audits) to continuously seek ways to enhance client engagement metrics.
  • Monitor latest trends and developments in the events and asset management industry, alongside client insights and analytics, to refine our event experiences. Develop new ways to generate and distribute content derived at the experiences and events we create, in partnership with our content marketers.
  • Work effectively independently and as a team player within the NA team, broader marketing team and wider organization
  • Manage and track event budgets, partnering effectively with other Marketing disciplines, Distribution, and Corporate Events.
  • Partner with Brand leads to manage and negotiate with agencies and vendors from procurement through contracting to execution and measurement, ensuring we deliver a platinum client experience efficiently and cost-effectively.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Corporate Events, Event Management, and/or Experiential Marketing - within a financial services/corporate/regulated environment would be a clear advantage
  • Demonstrable expertise in delivering end-to-end high quality in-person and virtual events
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications or related field an asset.
  • Knowledge of financial services preferred
  • Experience managing projects, working with cross functional teams, and using data to evaluate event performance and drive insights and ideation
  • Experience collaborating within an agency or marketing organization, as well as with sales, product, corporate communications, legal and compliance
  • Proficient in Office, Cvent and Salesforce (or similar) tools
  • Excellent venue and supplier knowledge

  • Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills
  • Proficiency using Cvent or other event software
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly creative and innovative
  • Travel required (~10%) some of which may be solo

The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in New York City is $120k to $135k annually.
