Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead issue resolution teams in the field to effectively research, document and review Product Issues occurring on P&H Equipment.
  • Lead machine troubleshooting, inspection and audit teams. Accurately report machine condition, repair/maintenance recommendations, time to repair/service, and recommended upgrades. Facilitate development of maintenance strategies that promote safety, system reliability, and the reduction of unplanned down time.
  • Assume project management of major electrical field jobs. Assist electricians with installations, wiring and commissioning of this equipment.
  • Effectively communicate to Customer Supervisors, Managers, Internal Employees, Engineering and Product Support on any customers needs. 
  • Mentor and Supervise other Technical Service Representatives. Lead training activities, mentor, and actively promote a learning networking culture between Komatsu Service Centers and Product Support to transfer knowledge and develop Komatsu Technical Service Representatives.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be knowledgeable in Electrical Theory and in the Electrical Field. Understand how circuits work and how to read and understand Electrical Schematics.
  • Must be proficient at using Computers. Must be able to connect monitoring devices to analyze signals and interpret data that we will be gathering at any given time.
  • Must be prepared to perform Root Cause Analysis on failures and effectively draft reports for customers, internal personnel and Product Support.
  • Must have great communication skills in person, on the phone and on a computer.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and be able to work in a Team Environment for the betterment of Komatsu Mining.
