As Head of our fast-growing Warehousing and Fulfilment business unit, you will lead a small, high-performing team in growing and expanding our fulfilment business in Indonesia.

This is a cross-functional, hands-on role which encompasses P&L ownership and end-to-end responsibility over country strategy and execution, including in the areas of commercial growth, business development, product strategy, and operations, with strong functional and specialist support provided by the regional team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the strategic direction for the warehousing and fulfilment vertical in Indonesia based on understanding of market conditions and competitive landscape
  • Be responsible for P&L performance of the vertical, including strategic planning, budgeting and management reporting
  • Develop go-to-market, pricing and product positioning strategy, overseeing long-term commercial product development roadmap
  • Partner Ninja Van’s country leadership, commercial heads and other business vertical heads to develop an integrated and differentiated warehousing and fulfilment value proposition that fully leverages synergies with Ninja Van’s ecosystem of services 
  • Build and actively manage business development and key account management teams and optimise key acquisition and retention levers to deliver accelerated business growth
  • Oversee end-to-end business development efforts, including sales strategy, pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, client onboarding processes and key account management
  • Source, develop and manage key strategic and commercial partnerships that accelerate business growth
  • Oversee end-to-end operations to ensure smooth running of the business by developing, monitoring and implementing robust operations processes with strong functional and specialist support from the regional team
  • Drive for operational and cost efficiency across all aspects of the business to achieve market leading cost structure and consistent product quality

Minimum Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience, which should include leadership roles (with P&L responsibility) within operations, commercial and key account management functions, in a similar high-growth, fast-paced environment commercial
  • Strong track record of delivering on aggressive topline targets and overall P&L performance
  • Experience leading high-performing teams especially in the areas of commercial, business development and key account management
  • Excellent commercial acumen and analytical skills with a logical, structured and data-driven approach to identifying, scoping and solving problems, comfortable working with financial data and large data sets
  • Stakeholder management abilities, with experience managing internal and external strategic partners at a senior level
  • Ability to thrive in high growth environments; Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written) and local language
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated interest in e-commerce logistics, in particular warehousing and fulfilment, would be highly advantageous
