Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

Netflix is revolutionizing the media and entertainment industry. Underpinning this revolution is our continued investment in leading-edge technology that spans from the member experience to Netflix employee productivity. We are looking for a manager to join our Product Strategy & Analytics team focusing on our security, privacy, and enterprise technology engineering teams (called SPACE) in our Los Gatos office. You will be partnering with senior leaders and engineers to identify and refine organizational strategies, find actionable insights, and drive operational analytics.

A role is as exciting and challenging as the problems being tackled. What are our partnering teams’ challenges? On the member side, staying ahead of the dynamic security & privacy global landscape that impacts our 238M+ members and our business around the world. On the employee side, creating & maintaining an innovation-focused environment that is scalable and secure. This work includes:

  • Identifying and refining the primary strategies and the related key metrics that define SPACE’s work
  • Go-to analytics support for the entire enterprise technology engineering organization

Candidates are expected to be highly analytical, self-directed, and effective communicators. They have a proven track record of cross-functional project management and analytics experience. Since Netflix is a self-service data organization, previous experience with query languages (e.g. SQL), visualization tools (e.g. Tableau), and light data manipulation experience is preferred.

In addition to intellectual curiosity and aptitude, we seek candidates who are excited by technology, either from a professional or personal standpoint. Since we are closely intertwined with the engineering organization and our analytics dig deeply into technical areas, having the ability to connect Netflix’s macro business to engineering projects and the corresponding member benefits is critical for success. The ideal candidate thrives in an ambiguous, highly complex environment focused on generating results while upholding the highest personal and professional integrity and ethics.

This position has no direct reports but operates at a senior level, leading cross-functional projects/teams composed of software engineers, analytics engineers, and technical program managers while collaborating with engineering leadership.
