As a Quality Engineering Program Manager at Verkada, you will contribute to the quality and reliability of our new cameras, intercoms, access control systems, sensors, and other enterprise IoT products. Verkada’s Quality Engineering Program Manager owns all aspects of the NPI and sustaining quality processes from prototype to mass production. 

Responsibilities

  • Work through NPI engineering phases to bring focus to quality during product development; building quality plans, FMEA’s, sampling methodologies, assembly auditing, corrective and preventative actions, IQC / OQC.
  • Use statistical techniques such as SPC, AQL sampling and analysis of measurement systems.
  • Resolve technical operational issues in SMT, final assembly, test, and packaging.
  • Use techniques such as design of experiments, correlation analysis and reliability test methods.
  • Enforce cosmetic quality, categorization and supplier inspection.
  • Drive RMA process, bin failures, perform root cause analysis with local and overseas engineering teams and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Global Supply Chain and other cross functional teams. 
  • Collaborate with overseas JDM and CM partners through validation builds (EVT, DVT, PVT) & into mass production. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience building quality systems and processes for enterprise or consumer electronic products
  • Experience getting hands-on with building & testing hardware.
  • Strong understanding & intuition regarding strength of materials, thermodynamics, and manufacturing.

Pay Disclosure

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Estimated Annual Pay Range

$95,000—$280,000 USD
