Position Summary

The candidate is a highly organized, self-motivating candidate with excellent communication skills. The candidate promotes and sells Engineered Valves (EV) products direct in the market and through distributors, representatives, and Engineering Firms (A&E’s). The candidate is a hands-on salesperson who spends most of his time travelling in the region for visiting customers to discover new opportunities and increases sales. He discovers new enquiries with existing and new customers, coordinates quote activities and chases the orders to maximize product sales. Markets and territory may change in future. He supports EV in all market activities and any other activities when required by the Sales Director EMEA & APAC

Essential Responsibilities

  • Uses persuasion, logic, and product expertise to promote and sell the various valves/products to end users, Engineering companies (A&E accounts), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and distributors.
  • Maintains an up-to-date territory plan and works accordingly.
  • Performs specification work.
  • Visits key accounts on a bi-weekly basis and support global effort with Strategic Account customers.
  • Make sales calls to customers (average 3.5 – 4 days a week)
  • Performs specification work on projects with A&E’s and End-User.
  • Conducts product information seminars and training for end users, A&E accounts, distributors and representatives. Assists distributors and representatives' sales personnel in making sales calls and securing orders for EV.
  • Provide ITT with detailed information on the competitive landscape in the territory.
  • Maintain reports for active projects and opportunities and support monthly reporting and forecasting process in a timely manner.
  • Communicate extensively with direct supervisor on all customers, sales channels and company matters.
  • Initially the main focus will be on developing the mining and minerals industry for Fabri products.
  • Maintains up-to-date distributor/representative sales action plans, monitors and report progress towards goals.
  • Report to and follows the directions given by the Sales Director EMEA & APAC.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) from a four-year college or five years of (Knife Gate) Valves sales experience. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in selling products in the mining and mineral industry and is knowledgeable about the requirements of the chemical industry.
