Your job in bullet points:

  • Contribute to the development of the Division business strategy and derived annual plan and budget;
  • Plan and execute business development activities according to the divisional plan and budget.
  • Identify opportunities, initiate and develop BD proposals, investment plans and budgets and after management approval manage and or participate in e.g. mergers and acquisitions, grass root projects, expansion projects in order to achieve the agreed BD project objectives.
  • Identify the value drivers and develop the business case for the projects. Work in collaboration with Commercial. Document the case in decision document/ SIP or IP.
  • Plan, manage multi-disciplinary teams, monitor progression (actions and budget) and realize BD projects, according to the agreed quality, planning and budget.
  • Build, coordinate and maintain close relationships with relevant in- and external relations; Vopak network, authorities, (potential) customers and JV partners, service providers, in order to ensure their support in the interest of a successful project realization.
  • Prepare (JV) partner contracts; contribute to the negotiation and after management approval execution of the contract, in close cooperation with general, financial and commercial management, in order to have a clear and univocal understanding on the arrangements with the partner(s) in the BD process.
  • Incorporate all necessary Vopak policies, procedures and systems in the BD project proposal and execution and make use of best practices for compliancy and project success purposes.
  • Gather, monitor, analyze and share relevant market development and customer development information, in cooperation with the commercial professionals in the region and by networking and relations management, in order to identify opportunities for future business.
