What's the Role?

As the E5 Head of Legal & Compliance, you will lead our legal team in Eastern Europe, managing complex legal matters and compliance processes. This role is critical for ensuring our operations adhere to legal standards and internal policies. You'll provide strategic legal guidance on contracts, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and more, while also fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct within the company.

What does the role involve?

  • Providing comprehensive legal advice and support on a variety of complex business matters
  • Leading and mentoring a team of legal professionals
  • Developing and overseeing the company's compliance and ethics programs
  • Collaborating with senior management to formulate effective risk management strategies
  • Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance in all business activities
  • Handling litigation and dispute resolution, managing external legal counsel
  • Advising on legal aspects of company strategies and transactions
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements
  • Providing training and guidance on legal and compliance matters to staff at all levels

What you need is:

  • A legal qualification with a strong academic background
  • Minimum 10 years of professional legal experience, with a focus on commercial law
  • Expertise in corporate governance, risk management, and compliance
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities
  • Fluency in English and a Slavic language, additional language skills are a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle complex legal issues
