About Wiley Edge:

Wiley Edge is a wholly owned subsidiary of John Wiley & Sons, Inc. It has an expanding client portfolio that is currently around 40 customers globally, to whom we deliver our Hire-Train-Deploy Alumni resources as well as reskill training services. It is the role of the Commercial Management Office to help map the processes relating to timesheet tracking, Purchase Orders, Statement of Works, and monthly reconciliations for clients so that the Customer Services Teams can generate client invoices. The team operates on a global basis as many of our clients have operations in multiple regions. As well as facing off with clients the CMO team works with internal teams across both Wiley and Wiley Edge organisations. 

About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing, high-performing, collaborative sales team; supporting the largest companies to solve some of their biggest challenges around diversity and demand for key IT skills to support their growth.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for winning new logos, primarily selling Wiley Edge`s Alumni model, to some of the largest multi-national organizations across Europe. You will be responsible for Managing & heading the India business for Wiley Edge, Wiley’s brand for trained emerging talent solution to the corporate world, the full sales cycle and be required to manage a complex sales process involving multiple stakeholders.

How you will make an impact:

  • Responsible for leading the India team with direct reporting structure from Sales and Client services and with dotted reporting from different functions of the business-like talent, academy, finance, HR etc.,
  • Maintaining the P&L for the Wiley Edge India business by effective planning and managing the client relationships in the region.
  • Work in a capacity of partner & true advisor to clients by understanding their talent needs and suggesting a best possible approach with custom trained cohorts and diversity objectives of the respective client.
  • True bearer for diversity & inclusion amongst all cohorts delivered for clients. Execute the local strategies for Wiley Edge in line to the global planned outcomes.
  • Representing India internally at Wiley for the global GTM, expansion plans, and business objective discussions.
  • Regional expansion for Wiley Edge business and further penetration into untapped global markets.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience managing complex sale cycles/processes end-to-end.
  • Track record of identifying, generating, and closing new business opportunities within new target customers
  • A demonstratable record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience selling to C-level executives.
  • Comfortable and skilled in engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders in your accounts.
