The Bosch team in Breda is leading the software development for the wiring diagram auto rendering solution called ActiveSchematics. Target customers are the global car/truck/machine manufacturers (OEM). With ActiveSchematics, the technician in the workshop can render at runtime a wiring diagram based on the exact vehicle configuration and the area of interest. This will enhance diagnoses, reduce time and mistakes and for the OEM it will reduce cost. ActiveSchematics is integrated in the OEM’s diagnose and technical information system.

Because of recent successful customer acquisitions we are looking for a test automation engineer to expand our team with in Breda.

Job Description

???? Your Role as a Test Automation Engineer

As our new Test Automation Engineer, you are part of a team that is responsible for the designing, developing and maintaining (Web) applications based on Java and .NET in the automotive field. You develop tests based on functional specifications using the agile software development methodology, considering existing systems.

You are part of a project team and you are constantly in contact with your other team members to realize the progress and profitability of our software products. Together with the team, you make sure the product deliveries can be done according to the planning.

????️ Your Tasks 

• Define a test strategy / strategies for the different systems;
• Have an active role in integrating testing into the CI/CD pipeline;
• Analyse the impact on the different systems to be able to perform automated (regression) and manual tests on these systems;
• Make detailed analysis of requirements and translate these into test cases and test scripts;
• Create, maintain, execute manual and automated tests and validate the test results;
• Give feedback to the developers and create proposals to improve system functionality based on test results;
• Together with the developer perform a demonstration of the developed / tested functionality to end users;
• Take part in team meetings as part of the Agile Framework and actively participate to improve teamwork.

The team is based in Breda (the Netherlands) and has daily working contacts with other groups around the world. The team works in hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

???? What You Bring 

Must have:

• A Bachelor’s (HBO/WO) degree in Computer Science or related field;
• At least 2-3 years of demonstrable experience with software testing;
• Experience in a complex and international IT environment;
• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written);
• Able and willing to work 3 times a week in the office in Breda;
• In-depth knowledge of REST APIs, Webservices, Web application testing, scripting and programming test routines;
• Capability to analyze and understand complex business/system processes;
• Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium and Tosca;
• Accuracy, customer and solution orientation skills, analytical ability and communicative skills.

Nice to have:

• Working experience in the Automotive domain;
• Relevant certifications in testing, such as ISTQB, Certified Selenium Professional, or certificates in related tools and technologies;
• Experience with Business driven development;
• Dutch or Russian language skills.
