Description

The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an Academic HR Analyst 1 to contribute to the oversight of academic personnel and credentialing procedures. In this role, you will manage various academic appointments, including full-time clinical faculty, voluntary academic appointments, and academic appointments for approximately staff physicians and part-time faculty. Key responsibilities encompass a comprehensive understanding of academic personnel policies, preparation and management of dossiers, salary administration, and database management. You will also provide support in analyzing and resolving complex departmental issues related to faculty and academic personnel matters. Additionally, you will process payroll actions for academic personnel within the department and contribute to office administration tasks such as purchasing, reimbursements, and access requests. Hourly salary range: $24.61-$48.18

Qualifications

Required: * Skill in planning and organizing complex materials and information efficiently, skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, changes in assignments, pressures of deadlines, competitive requirements and heavy workload. * Ability to utilize appropriate interpersonal skills to interact effectively with faculty, residents, students, campus and hospital departments and outside agencies. Ability to speak effectively to persons of various social, cultural, economic or educational backgrounds, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information explain policies and procedures, provide information or resolve conflicts * Financial skills necessary to compile statistics, manage budgets, process reimbursements etc * Demonstrated writing skills to compose logical, detailed, comprehensive, and grammatically correct correspondence, procedures, and reports. * Ability to work effectively and accurately with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. * Ability to function effectively as a team member. Establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with members of the healthcare team * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction * Working knowledge of University academic personnel policies and procedures. * Working knowledge of various governmental agencies involved in faculty and fellow appointments such as INS and ECFMG in order to resolve problems and obtain needed information * Demonstrated skill in analyzing academic curriculum vitaes and bibliographies to evaluate physician/scientist level of achievement and to determine whether it is commensurate with level of proposal * Ability to read and interpret personnel, payroll, and academic personnel manuals including the CALL
