Join our News Team as a Photographer/Editor Fill-In.
Responsibilities:
The Photographer/Editor is responsible for the operation of cameras, editing and microwave equipment used in electronic newsgathering.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in broadcasting or similar major required.
- Must know spot news, but have an eye for creative storytelling, as well.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment (50lbs) and work various shifts.
- Ability to maneuver and operate a live truck required.
- Driver’s license required as position requires driving.
- Good communication skills, sound editorial judgment and familiarity with Chicago city streets a plus.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere a plus.
- Three to five years television news gathering, editing and microwave experience required.

- Position requires IBEW membership.
