Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Healthcare Advisory is responsible for all aspects of client management, satisfaction, and retention. There is a central focus on healthcare regulatory and compliance, reimbursement, and strategy. The individual in this role will experience senior level negotiations, project management, and in giving presentations to senior executives, physicians, and providers. Additionally, the Senior Manager will market and sell services, present at industry conferences and recruit, develop and mentor staff.

Job Duties:

  • Executes client projects, working independently or as part of a team
  • Provides managed care, reimbursement, operational and strategic guidance to clients
  • Performs managed care contract assessments and renegotiation strategies
  • Assesses client managed care strategy and market position to create managed care strategies
  • Assesses client revenue cycle management capabilities, makes recommendations, and create strategies to improve performance, maximize revenues, and create operational efficiencies
  • Provides management consulting services to clients on a wide variety of areas, including finance/budget, reimbursement, HR, insurance and physician incentive areas
  • Provides data for financial and statistical analysis as requested
  • Oversees:
  • Healthcare regulatory and reimbursement engagements
  • Clinical integration & accountable care program development and management
  • Management consulting services
  • Practice mergers & assessments
  • Revenue cycle & reimbursement review
  • Financial analysis and modeling
  • Project management
  • Client relations
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the day-to-day workload of Senior Managers, Managers, Senior Associates and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product
  • Acts as a Career Advisor to Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, required
  • Master’s degree, preferred

Experience:

  • Eight (8) or more years of experience in healthcare industry, preferably preferable in healthcare compliance and accounting, required

Software:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate data in order to provide input to decisions, problem solve difficulties and anticipate need for change
  • Ability to exercise initiative, solve problems, make decisions and recommend creative solutions
  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate the work activities of a variety of clients in a multitude of locations
  • Able to communicate effectively with physicians, employees, and team members
  • Able to work well under pressure including tight deadlines and multi-task prioritization
  • Able to maintain complete confidentiality of all work assignments and information gained during employment
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Exceptional tact and diplomacy in all levels of communication
  • Ability to follow organizational policies and procedures sufficient to carry out day to day activities
  • Knowledge of fiscal management to aid in the operation of the practice sites within budgetary constraints and with maximum financial efficiency
  • Knowledge of human resource management techniques to provide leadership to a diverse group of employees with sensitivity to legal and practical concerns
  • Ability to learn the practice management computer system and its application sufficient to carry out job responsibilities
