Responsibilities

  • Create test plans, write test cases, and other QA documents based on embedded software requirements and specifications
  • Build and manage HiL(Hardware-in-Loop) platforms to facilitate rigorous testing processes
  • Define QA processes and pipelines
  • Develop test automation frameworks and scripts
  • Collaborate with software teams and conduct bench tests in the lab during feature development and validation phases
  • Automate test cases and processes
  • File and track bugs from opening to closure after verification
  • Report defects and follow-through as necessary to complete the testing cycle
  • Provide timely status updates and assist the team in making decisions about release-readiness
  • Maintain test environment and run regression tests on daily build
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand support/field issues and drive solutions

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Embedded/Platform Software testing experience
  • Linux or QNX and Programming (preferably Python) expertise
  • Experience in testing automotive ECUs
  • Experience in automotive protocols such as CAN, Ethernet
  • Board-level testing experience
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Must be able to adapt and work within dynamic development timelines, with accelerated hardware production timelines, and software release cadence

  • Excellent communication, testing and troubleshooting skills
  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
