About the Role

The Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer complements the existing AIA Group Cloud and Infrastructure Team in designing and developing the self-service infrastructure provisioning platform. This role's focus is standardizing secure provisioning of cloud infrastructure through published catalogs, policies, and guidelines that AIA business Units can consume.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design and develop Terraform modules and configuration files to provision cloud resources using Terraform Cloud.
• Design and develop Ansible playbooks for automated installation and configuration of security and monitoring agents.
• Ensure quality through automated testing of Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks.
• Design and develop Sentinel policies for Terraform Cloud to ensure cloud resources configuration complies with AIA Group policies.
• Design and manage integration with vaults and public cloud secrets management systems such as Azure Key Vault, Ansible Vault, etc.
• Work with the Group Information Security to ensure compliance to all security requirements, standards and automate the same.

Minimum Job Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Cloud Infrastructure Automation.
• Excellent understanding and proven experience in Microsoft Azure implementation, workload migration and operational support in a multi-site enterprise environment.
• Excellent understanding of DevOps practices and principles.
• Relevant professional certifications (Microsoft Azure, Terraform, Ansible, etc.) will be an advantage.
• Experience in automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and automated configuration management using Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages.
• Practical experience in supporting Enterprise Public Cloud Services and automation.
• Life insurance experience within a regional or multinational scope will be an advantage.
• Ability to adjust to multiple and changing priorities, remaining flexible and open.
• Ability to create and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
• Be a self-starter and possess the confidence and skills to operate with and enjoy a high degree of autonomy.
