As Team Lead Software Development (m/f/d) at Roche in Ludwigsburg, you will lead a team of software engineers and be an integral part of the "Pre-Analytics new Development" department. The "Software Development" team consists of 8-10 employees who work as software engineers, software architects, product owners and external partners. This team specializes in software development for pre-analytical products.

To deliver innovative solutions faster, we work with agile methods and strive for continuous integration. The software stack is mainly based on Linux as operating system and C/ C++ as programming languages. In your role as Team Lead Software Development (m/f/d) you will be responsible for providing the right resources, tools and processes for the different projects and working across sites to improve performance.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for leading and developing an intercultural team of software engineers, software architects and product owners with a focus on software and firmware solutions.
  • You will work closely with other areas of the organization (engineering, product and project management, production and customer service) as well as with external suppliers and development partners.
  • You support the development of the software along the entire product life cycle (requirements - design - verification - product maintenance) and contribute to the enhancement of our product roadmap and our IP portfolio
  • You are committed to the continuous improvement of processes, best practices and tools used.

Your Profile

  • A university degree in software engineering or related field of study or a similar qualification.
  • An in-depth background and many years of experience in software development (embedded firmware, application software, software architecture)
  • You have successfully demonstrated your skills and abilities by taking a leading role in several developments of complex software solutions.
  • You are characterized by a high level of social competence, have already gained leadership experience and are able to communicate precisely and efficiently in German and/or English (C1 level).
  • You have experience in agile coaching and designing agile development projects and have the ability to work in a challenging, dynamic and constantly changing environment.
