Broadridge is hiring! We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer too join our Investor Communications Division. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies while supporting Broadridge’s high profile clients. If you're passionate about a position that plays a vital role in the delivery of quality client solutions, we want to review your background!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for tools and applications used internally within the Broadridge Customer Communications (BRCC) software development organization. Includes primary support for a key Java and Perl based application used across the organization.
  • Improve application functionality, performance and stability through refactoring, automation and development of tools and processes to eliminate manual activity.
  • Partner with business teams to understand client and business requirements.
  • Analyze business requirements and develop solutions that meets client and business needs.
  • Act as subject matter expert and collaborate with others to provide application technical support, including some nights and weekends as needed.
  • Work with the support groups to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Interact with a wide variety of groups of varying levels and knowledge for application/product design and architecture.
  • Author, refactor, and re-write as needed large-scale Perl and Java applications used for back-end processing of customer data in a high-volume production ETL environment.
  • Documentation of code and processes for internal support and application end-user use.
  • Thrive in a high volume/rapid-paced environment where you will work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 10 years of software development work experience with proficiency in Java, J2EE,JDBC and JBoss.
  • Advanced experience in OO Perl principles, including module integration, refactoring code for re-use with modules and unit and integration testing of modules and complete products.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with Linux. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable with Linux command line and use of bash/ksh shell for system automation tasks.
  • Experience with PL/SQL and SQL Script programming. Understanding of basic query analysis and refactoring of SQL for maintainability and performance.
  • Experience with Source Code Management tools, including Perforce, Git and GitLab.
  • Familiarity with Java integration tools, including Maven for building projects and Jenkins for packaging and distribution.
  • Knowledge/familiarity with backend system design and architecture.
  • Technical writing skills including code and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage the priority of current and future workload.
  • AWS experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge on Jira and Agile processes a plus.

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $125,000 - $150,000. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
