Job Description

Job Summary: This role performs tax compliance, transfer pricing compliance, planning and financial reporting duties and related special projects with respect to international operations, including support of other members of the Tax Department. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform U.S. tax compliance duties related to international operations
  • Assist with international components of global tax provision process
  • Compute E&P and tax pools, Subpart F, §956 and other analysis required to support tax compliance and planning projects
  • Keep up to date on tax law changes, cases, ruling and regulations and assist with tax research.
  • Preparation/review of tax returns (including 5471, 8865, and 8858) and foreign tax credit calculation and documentation
  • Participates in federal and foreign tax audit defense
  • Participates in interdepartmental communication with business units to ensure tax reporting is complaint.
  • Conducts tax research related to compliance and planning issues as needed
  • Assist with transfer pricing policies and issues, including global documentation
  • Support global tax compliance projects by retrieving, analyzing and manipulating data from accounting and tax systems
  • Provide US and international tax support for M&A activities
  • Establish and maintain good communications and working relationships with global business units
  • Work with Director, Senior Manager, and outside tax advisors on special projects

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

  • Commerce Graduate/Post-graduate. CPA or CA degree is optional but preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant job experience.
  • Technical Skill Set:
  • Sound understanding of excel basic and advanced functions
  • Well versed with ERPs, preferably SAP
  • Familiarity with US GAAP accounting rules

Business Skill Set:

  • Role works in a global culture which is under constantly changing conditions and tight deadlines
  • Must have Analytical/problem solving ability
  • Trouble-shooting skills, strong initiative, critical thinking skills, detail oriented
