Senior Vice President Sales, Americas

Dematic is in search for an SVP of Sales for the Americas Region. The role is a key leadership stakeholder in Dematic’s commercial success as we continue to grow our business in this important market. This role will be responsible for the go-to-market strategy and execution thereof to further cement Dematic’s position as the market leader in supply-chain automation.

The leader in this role will be required to work with a cross-functional regional and global team to deliver on the company's business objectives. The successful candidate must have demonstrated success in managing in a matrix organization, strategic and operational skills, leadership in a large commercial organization, experience from key-account management and he or she will need to align with our values Integrity, Collaboration, Courage, and Excellence.

The Role

Selected key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Owns the front-end delivery of the business targets for the Americas Sales organization.
  • Act as the business leader to own, communicate and drive the sales strategy with various regional and global Dematic functions to deliver the yearly objectives.
  • Provide leadership to and develop strategies for Sales and Business Development in alignment with the Company's mission statement and strategic plan.
  • Foster an inclusive working environment, where you lead by example and concretely support wellbeing of your team members.
  • Effectively build a culture that fosters teamwork and cooperation, across the region and with global functions and COEs.
  • Define and execute the strategic sales initiatives in alignment with strategic company goals.
  • Drive systems and processes to help scale the business in alignment with the capabilities of the organization from delivery standpoint.
  • Target specific vertical markets with a defined “Dematic Solution Strategy” to help create automation capabilities for the customers and help them solve their business challenges.
  • Partner with Regional Sales in qualifying new opportunities and those in the existing sales funnel by leveraging market and solution expertise to develop strategic and timely proposals
  • Lead the team that will support guiding and educating customers and sales account managers in the required operational metrics and solution sets to build trusted advisor level relationships
  • Participates with regional sales teams to help win high visibility targeted opportunities
  • Demonstrates the ability to build credibility and confidence with a wide variety of leaders including internal stakeholders, customers and vendors and be seen as a trusted advisor
  • Demonstrates experience in driving initiatives, while holding teams accountable for results and ensuring continuous improvement

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Have expertise and experience selling large scale project work in an international and matrixed business.
  • Bring strong communication skills and leverage those skills to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Be able to work in a high growth environment with demanding deadlines.
  • Demonstrate experience successfully leading a large team of Account Managers, Regional Manager/Directors, and Business Unit Sales Executives.
  • Function as a change agent by demonstrating past successes driving and managing change within an organization.
  • Demonstrate outstanding team building skills with the ability to improve interaction and efficiency as well as the ability to break down barriers / silos.
  • Have experience and is fast in the analysis of performance metrics and short- and long-term strategy development planning.
  • Have experience with workforce planning, recruiting, and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Existing experience and knowledge of the material handling industry, supply chain design, or material handling is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required Graduate Degree preferred
  • Be willing to travel approximately 40%

The pay range for this role is estimated to be $250,000.00 - $375,000.00 at the time of posting and will be eligible for incentive compensation in accordance with company practices. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
