Alfa Laval is famous for Oil Purifiers, Plate Heat Exchangers, Fresh Water Generators, Fuel Conditioning Modules, Ballast Water Treatment Systems, Sludge treatment systems, Aalborg Boilers etc. Alfa Laval Marine Division aims to launch new products for new trends in the industry like decarbonization, Sustainability at shipping industry.

We are looking for a professional Marine/Mechanical Engineer as Senior Sales Engineer with strong Marine Industry knowledge and solid Industry network to drive Service Business in Marine & Diesel Power plants.

Job Description

1. Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval Product and services; 

2. Analyse and understand market insights and the customers buying behaviour and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets.

3. Look for and manage leads from the market, customers and convert them in real business opportunities means owner of Lead to Cash Process.

4. Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions to customers, focusing on customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services

5. Runs the commercial operation by managing the customer grid and proactive planning in our tools. Build and maintain a sufficient network at customers

6. Understand customer needs and offer solutions with customer values.

7. Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions

8. Be active member of Marine service team with a team spirit mindset.

9. Work proactive and in a structured way to serve customers, Customers comes always at first as per Alfa Laval Service culture. 

10. Drive digitalization initiatives to expand presence and customer engagement.

11. Close coordination between Service Department, Service Operations, and International Marine Service Organization. 

Who you are

  • Industry, Product and Application proven competence
  • Business acumen - Business/marketing analysis, contracts, pricing, sales & marketing
  • Strong Business acumen – 
  • Customer relationship and negotiating skills
  • Systems / solutions engineering knowledge, technical and costing
  • High proficiency in Alfa Laval Core technology for Marine products of Alfa Laval
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in excel, word, presentation skills.
  • Relevant Engineering Degree in Marine/Mechanical.
  • Strong networking in Marine industry customers 
  • Build up organization competencies in product/application.
